Central London looking its finest for the holiday season.
GLORIOUS KEW GARDENS
Kew Gardens is always worth a visit at any time of year, but the summer months are particularly outstanding.
I had the pleasure of accompanying my youngest on a school trip yesterday to Kew. Having not been for a number of years it never surprises me just how beautiful the gardens are, with image making opportunities at every corner turned.
Glorious!

FIVE BROADGATE
On a quick walk through Liverpool street’s Broadgate complex last week, I photographed a few views of the new Number five. A complete contrast to what it replaced, with its sharp cutting design lines and 22nd century looks, It most certainly would not appear out of place in science fiction blockbuster!

BMX RIDERS
Last Friday afternoon, walking through a Skatepark in London, I got chatting to a group of guys on BMX bikes. Not content with a gentle ride home from the office, these guys were intent on a more physical workout. Flying fast and high on some very hard and unforgiving concrete. They made it look all too easy……
BARCELONA
COLCHESTER ZOO
Lovely day out last week at the very “smart” looking Colchester zoo.
Can you spot the elephant?
CGI Render verses straight photography?
In a nut shell, visually, there isn’t an awful lot of difference. Both look fantastic!
The difference comes in “production turnaround time”. Which eventually filters down to cost…….

SONY CHIC
One of my recent studio jobs involved shooting the new SONY e-reader for London based agency BD-network. Shot over the course of a couple of days, we photographed the range’s various color ways and provided initial retouching for the selected shots.
By providing well over forty different variations of color, angles and propping we were able to produce a exciting and comprehensive set of images for SONY’s innovative new e-reader.

CANARY TWEET
I had the opportunity to pop out for a “rare” lunch time treat on Monday to meet up with an old friend.
I really enjoy visiting Canary Wharf as I always manage to capture a angle of the architecture that I have
not seen before. The wharf is one of those places where you just can not walk through with you head down……

YOUR GOING DOWN!
Lying just on the outskirts of London and on the edge of the beautifully scenic A406, this urban demolition had been in progress for a number of weeks before I got around to shooting it.
Every time I had passed the site, I knew I had to start working soon before it was gone forever, so over the course of three visits (over the same number of weeks) I set about my task to document the fall of this office icon.
Capturing the most interesting angles at the most visually interesting states of deconstruction, I used close up shots, wide shots and various spanning panoramas to document the building.
Standing for decades on the edge of a duel carriage way. Its last moments, now recorded forever.
